NEWS FROM MRS DANIEL’S CLASSROOM
Dear Parents, welcome to a brand new month. We welcome our new friends: Tirenioluwa and Nariaah to the Infant room, we are so glad to have you in our class. We assure you that your time with us will be rewarding. During the 1st half of the term, we worked with our Theme (My Family) and the children were able to identify their parents and siblings. For the second half of the term, we are looking at another exciting Theme (A walk around my environment). In such a short time, most of us can already identify most of the items in our classroom, such as table, chair, pencil, mat and books.
For recognition of colours, we are reinforcing identification of Red & Yellow. Please point out objects at home that have these colours. Most of us can identify our fruits e.g. apple, banana, orange e. t. c.
In P. S. E .D, most of us can identify and make facial expressions (happy & sad faces) and it’s been so much fun learning how to jump with the aid of a trampoline. In knowledge of the world, we are getting better at identifying the different parts of our body (head, eye and nose). Our numbers are not left out: we are becoming experts at counting numbers 1-10 which we would continue to re-in force.

A LOOK AT NEXT TWO WEEKS:

  • Talk about things on the playground (swing, sandpit e. t. c.)
  • In P. S. E. D, different facial expressions e. g Angry & surprised face
  • In physical development: Riding on a bicycle.
  • Identification of parts of the body: nose, mouth and ear.
